Marriage is the institution as old as the origins of the human civilization. However, recently in many countries the number of divorces has become higher than the number of marriages and there are always more and more people who simply dont want to walk up the aisle . For them marriage is just a dead institution.
Watching a groom and a bride beaming with happiness at the entrance of a church makes us think that marriage must be the most beautiful thing in everyones life.
But it's slow death probably takes the beginning at the altar. Today many people forget what the institution of marriage really should be because they are not conscious of its sacred character . Among those are the persons who think that its not necessary to wear wedding ring to live together.
That is also a common phrase that the institutional character of marriage curbs on the personal liberty but with the institution of divorce it doesnt seem to be true.
All human beings feel a strong need to live with others and eventually even those who do not pronounce the memorable words in church will not escape from some kind of institution which they will establish with their partner.
Personally I think that the question of marriage as an institution its a question of the religious faith and on what moral properties it will be built.Consequently, its not a institution of marriage which is dead but its sense which slips out somewhere to many of us.
